We just completed our latest book cover design. This murder mystery by author Valerie Stocking is an exciting story set in a spa on the outskirts of town. Valerie loved our interpretation of her idea and we look forward to seeing the completed novel, coming soon.
In other design news, we are starting on the marketing for the 9th Annual Ceramic Studio Tour, organized by the Artist’s Advisory Committee in cooperation with the ASU Art Museum Ceramics Research Center and ASU Herberger College of the Arts. The tour commences in February 2010. We love working with this group of fine artists and participating in this exciting weekend. Look for more information HERE.
More exciting news, Cyndi met with the CEO of Anna’s Linen’s today to pitch an invention idea. The idea has yet to be patented, so I can’t say much more than that, but we are very proud of Cyndi and excited to see what happens. We’ll keep you posted!

For years, we have been a support marketing and design team for Sage Software. They were once based out of Scottsdale, AZ not too far from us, but now the parent company is located in the UK.
Working with these fine folks is always a joy because in spite of the tight deadlines, rush to meet product launches and the always expected glitches everyone is cheery and often has time to chat around the cyberspace water cooler.
This year we are working on the ACT! launch again. We got started a bit late and thankfully all the deadlines have been pushed out. We are designing the collateral for the inside of the box which includes a Solutions Guide, Partner Directory, Quick Look Guide to name a few. Also on the agenda is the design of several pieces that will be available for download. This includes ubiquitous data sheets and forms.
It may sound staid and to some people boring, but we love this kind of precise, follow-the-rules designing. It is a fantastic counter to the super creative, no-holds-barred work we do as well.

Deb Selac is a conceptual artsit who also has a storefront on Roosevelt Row in Phoenix, AZ. I recently met with my team member, Cyndi Coon, to discuss Deb’s rebranding. The challenge was to incorporate her art and her store into one central brand where she could showcase her art and market her business.
We discovered the name North Window best describes Deb and her pursuits. With the new name, we are building a website for Deb that will be an online gallery space and an e-commerce site. Stay tuned. Updates to come…

Today we begin our contract with Sage Software. We are hired on as freelance design and production support to assist Sage with the product launches that occur every year.
For this contract we are designing, among other things, the catalogs for the inside of the product box. For this we are given the box design which we use to pull design cues through the rest of the collateral. We work closely with project managers and lead designers to create a seamless, efficient environment in which to produce cohesive projects.
